Take Notes! You can write in your notebook the main topics you will cover in the class. These include, the basics, main topics, and the major subtopics that pertain to your own philosophy. These are your “notes” that will serve as your study aids in the class.
Write Down Your Studied Topics Each class will have a different number of topics covered by the class. If you’re taking a class where you’ll learn more about ethics, you might find that there are fewer subtopics than there are topics. You will also find that the more subtopics you study in the class, the more you’ll get out of the class.
Once you’ve written down the subtopics and topics covered in the class, review them and see if they’re similar to what you’re studying. If they’re similar, then you’re off to a good start. Then you’ll know exactly what you need to study for the class.
Look For the Main Topics As you go through the topics in class, you will come across a few topics that you haven’t considered before. These topics may seem like the main topic, but they may not pertain to your main philosophy subject. Keep an open mind and don’t just settle for the main topic.
Look for the subtopics that relate to your main topic. If a subtopic is relevant to your main topic, then it’s worth noting.
A good place to start your research is the Wikipedia page on your chosen subject. There you can find everything from reading books to researching other philosophy professors. There is also a list of resources for further research. You’ll also find a link on the website to the Department of Education’s website, which includes information on all kinds of universities, schools, colleges and schools.
Don’t give up the main topic. While you may find that some students will not think of it at first, there are still a lot of other students that don’t. that have never thought of anything similar to their main topic. Once they start getting familiar with it, they may be able to find new ideas that you didn’t consider previously.

Get started and take your time. You’ll be surprised at how quickly you can get through the course, if you just stick with it. Just keep your focus and don’t get discouraged.
