What is the H-Term Exam?

The humanities exam draws from primarily Western literature from the Renaissance period to the present. (Themes include love, war, religious faith, the natural world, science, history, literature and more.) Around five-ten percent of the exam involves other cultures: Africa, Latin America and Asian.

Exams generally focus on three types of text: literature, history or the social sciences. You must pass a number of written examinations, typically with a multiple choice format. Many of the examinations include short questions that are designed to assess your knowledge and reasoning ability.
