However, it is important to keep up with your medications because if you notice an increased heart rate or you experience pain in the chest you should call your doctor immediately.
The condition can cause many medical issues, especially if it is caused by a high cholesterol level. When you take medication for that you may want to talk to your doctor about an oral medication like Advair or Lipitor to reduce cholesterol in the blood stream.
You may have been told that medical treatments cannot stop your trichophilia. This is a misconception and there are treatments that can.
For example, your doctor may suggest a blood pressure monitor. These monitors measure the pressure in your body at different points and can help your doctor determine if your body is working properly or not. If the levels are too high or too low, your doctor may suggest a medical procedure or medication.
Trichologist exams are necessary for those who are suffering from trichomastia. If you feel like you need one, call your physician to discuss it with them. They will make sure you have no health issues that need to be overlooked. and that your trichology is accurate.
