Things That Affect Your CPE or NCPLH Score

For those that have taken the NCPLH, CPE or CPTE (certified nursing assistant) programs you know that you must pass the NCPLH or CPE exam in order to be certified as a nurse assistant. With that said, there are still some things that can and do affect this. Read on for more information on what can affect your NCPLH or CPE test scores.

The number one thing that affects your NCPLH or CPE test score is whether or not you took the classes in the first place. There are certain standards that must be met in order to pass the NCPLH or CPE exam. Most colleges have certain requirements for these classes. You have to complete a certain number of credits to take these classes. If you did not take these classes at the college you attend or if you took them outside of your state, you may have to take a NCPLH or CPE practice test to prove that you passed the actual test.

If you took the classes and failed, then the time frame is not nearly as big of a deal. If you failed three times, it would affect your score considerably. Make sure that the classes you took were all approved by your state’s Board of Nursing before taking the NCPLH or CPE practice tests.

The next thing that can affect your CPE or NCPLH score is if you have taken a refresher course that is a part of the certification process. This can be anything from a book to an online class. Each of these can cause a different amount of a drop in your score, depending on how much study you did to prepare for them. In general, you should avoid taking these courses if you want to get a good score on the exam.

Time frame. If you were working full time as a nursing assistant then your time frame for taking the NCPLH or CPE course is fairly fast. For someone who was working part time, it will take a little bit longer to get your hands on the NCPLH or CPE. course material.

What scores. Your score is affected by the level of the program you took as well as how long it took you to complete the course. Those who are taking the class for the first time will have a slightly lower score on their NCPLH or CPE exam than someone who has been doing the same thing for a couple of years.

How much time you spend on studying. If you are working a job and you have to take the NCPLH or CPE class, then it can take up to a year to complete it and pass it.

You have to be able to take the time necessary to fully understand the material. There is no time frame as to how long it will take you to pass the NCPLH or CPE. The reason being is that the exam covers a lot of material and you have to read the material thoroughly and practice on your own.

How you study. Each class will come with its own set of books that you have to study for. A lot of times the books will come with CD’s as well. The question and answer sessions and the test are the same, so you will have to go through them by heart.

When to take the exam. You should take your time before you take the exam so that you have a good grasp on the concepts that are covered in the class. Taking the exam when you are under stress is not advisable.

When the exam is taken. If you took the class over a year ago, it might take longer now since the material is more complex and you have a better understanding of the material. If you took it a few years ago it might take shorter than you would think since you do not know what you were talking about.

Pass your NCPLH or CPE. The NCPLH or CPE is a great certification to have. It will open many doors for you and give you many jobs in the field of nursing that you would not have been able to get otherwise. So the more time and effort you put into studying the better you will feel about the certification you have earned.
